Junior Business Analyst
Business Development Department
Our Business Development Department is responsible for business growth, market and partnership development and ensuring the profitability of Cocoon Networks. Activities take place across different teams such as the M&A consulting team, the IP management team, the Sales team, the Product Development Team, and the Relationship Management Team. Networking activities, negotiations, designing strategic initiatives and implementing cost-saving efforts are also involved. All teams work together to ensure our business thrives.
The Junior Business Analyst is an entry level position that nonetheless plays a vital role in the department. Your responsibilities centre around helping the line manager implement analysis results, gathering information, and reporting your findings efficiently and effectively.
Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Due diligence and research on startups, organising our database, planning and reviewing
- Finding new business opportunities and potential investment opportunities/partners
- Assisting with business transactions and building connections
- Assisting in communicating with our clients and entrepreneurs
- Assisting in preparing PowerPoint presentations and reports
- Establishing regular client contact to foster great customer relationships
- Assisting with drafting proposals and MOUs
- Laising with other departments
You will be mainly office-based.

- Display a strong interest in innovative industries
- Have a basic understanding of startups and product & service development for SMEs
- Enjoy working with people with different culture and background, socialisation
- Have good commercial awareness
- Be confident about gathering facts and statistic
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Be able to work in an accurate and detail-oriented manner
- Posess strong MS Office skills
- Have excellent communication skills in English
- Mandarin is not essential but preferred
- Bachelor’s degree of 2:1 or above
